When customers are in your store, you want them focused on shopping. You want the merchandising you’ve done to speak loud and clear—and earn the sales.
That’s why we recommend avoiding stocking during store hours whenever possible. Stocking usually requires utility carts and unpacking cardboard boxes, which can be unsightly. Mainly though, it is distracting for the shopper.
Sometimes stocking during store hours can’t be helped if there is a particularly popular set of items. Just be sure to prep items for the shelves behind closed doors and use a shopping basket or shopping cart to move merchandise to the sales floor.
Enjoy the black Friday sales!
